When you tell a lie and you get in trouble for it you are most likely to do it again. You will do it again to try and cover up the previous lie and not get in trouble. Lying is something that you will keep repeating over and over until you are caught or cant lie anymore. That's why you must tell the truth even if its hard to do it. It is better than telling a lie and having to keep lying. honesty is better because you tell the truth once and you won't have to keep lying over and over. You will look more trustworthy and you don't have to lie anymore
